Informative Graphics Adds Validation to Redaction Software Module for Kofax Ascent Capture
New Redact-It for Kofax 1.1 Offers Post-Process Validation for Redaction of Privacy Information and Sensitive Content In Documents
SCOTTSDALE, Arizona—October 9, 2007 Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in content visualization, collaboration and secure publishing technology announced today the release of its Redact-It™ for Kofax® Ascent Capture® version 1.1.
Redact-It for Kofax offers the automated removal of privacy information like social security numbers, phone numbers and other sensitive data from legacy documents such as public records, financial documents and forms. Redact-It for Kofax helps companies meet privacy regulations like HIPAA and the Privacy Act.
Redact-It for Kofax v1.1 release adds an intuitive validation feature allowing operators to quickly validate redaction areas and amend if required. A hot key-enabled user interface speeds the efficiency of this validation process. Users can also add additional redactions interactively while viewing the document in the process.
Working within the Kofax batch process, Redact-It receives a scanned image from Ascent Capture and completely removes the data from the selected redaction zones and, if desired, the associated OCR text as well and both a redacted and non-redacted version of the file are created.
