Updated Integration Offers Document Merging, Multi-File and Thumbnail Views and a Built-In Comparison Tool
IBM Information on Demand, LAS VEGAS – October 24, 2011 – Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in viewing, collaboration and redaction technology today announced that it is previewing its soon-to-be-released Brava!® Enterprise integration to the IBM® FileNet® P8 platform at the IBM Information on Demand conference at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Conference attendees can see a demo of the software at the IGC booth (booth 1121).
The upcoming release of Brava for IBM FileNet P8 incorporates significant enhancements, including a new Document Merge module. With a simple graphical interface, users can now combine documents or selected pages simply by dragging thumbnails of the desired pages. Users can select individual pages from multiple documents—even different file formats—and merge them into a single TIFF, PDF or secure CSF document. The Document Merge module can even be used to split documents. This feature is especially useful for loan officers, insurance professionals and professionals in other related industries where document packets need to be reassembled.
Seamlessly integrated with FileNet P8, the updated Brava integration also allows users to browse document folders quickly. FileNet P8 users can select multiple documents from the Workplace/XT interface and load them for easy viewing in the Brava Browser, which displays all the selected documents as a tree view in the left panel and as thumbnails in the bottom panel. Users can then select a file from the list or thumbnails view and the selected document will display within the browsing window for a very uniform, intuitive user experience. Users can expand a document to see associated markups and even specific Changemarks® comments, making collaboration easier than ever. There is also a Thumbnail Mode, allowing users to see all currently selected documents as thumbnails and then select one to launch in Brava.
The integration also brings all the features of the latest Brava, including threaded discussions and document compare. Document compare allows users to compare two versions of a document or any two documents, even when they are different formats, and highlights areas of change for quick identification.
"IGC is strongly committed to our partnership with IBM," said IGC CEO Gary Heath. "The upcoming release of Brava includes significant enhancements that make it easier for FileNet users to view, collaborate and redact documents as an effortless part of their business processes."
The integration will be available in November 2011. Get more information about the release at: www.infograph.com/ibm.
