Informative Graphics Releases Brava!® Desktop 2D
Multi-Format View, Print, Markup and CSF Publishing
SCOTTSDALE, Arizona - June 2, 2004 — Informative
Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in Web-document and
collaboration technology, announced that it has released its
Brava!® Desktop view, markup and collaboration software after a
successful open beta program. The desktop offering is designed
to fill out the line of Brava visualization products, which to
date includes Brava! Enterprise, Brava! Desktop, Brava Reader and
Brava SDK (Software Developer’s Kit).
Brava! Desktop is user-friendly software that views, marks up
and prints native document, image and CAD drawing formats, as
well as IGC’s own CSF (Content Sealed Format) files. Brava
Desktop can also convert all supported formats to CSF, which
incorporates IGC’s Visual Rights® persistent security controls,
including password protection, onscreen banners, print and other
feature restrictions, redaction (blockout sensitive areas from
view and search) and more. Optionally, markups and redactions
can be burned into a CSF file. CSF files also can be viewed with
the free Brava! Reader for convenient distribution.
Brava
Desktop reads standard formats like TIFF, CALS, PDF, CSF, CGM,
and HPGL plot files, as well as formats from programs like the
Microsoft Office applications, Visio, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and
many more. Markups are stored in open standard XML format as
overlays, so the original file is never altered. CAD file
visualization supports reference files, full geometry-based
measurement, line weights and plotting to scaled output.
