Press Release
Informative Graphics Releases .NET Version of Brava!
Enterprise for Microsoft SharePoint
SCOTTSDALE, Arizona — October 5, 2005
Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in
Web-document and collaboration technology, today announced the
release of version 5.2 of its Brava!® Enterprise content
visualization server for the Microsoft® .NET platform, allowing
Brava’s industry-leading visualization, annotation, redaction
and secure publishing features for documents, images and CAD
design files to be fully and easily available within SharePoint.
Brava! Enterprise .NET is available
immediately as a supported integration to Microsoft SharePoint.
Gafcon, a California construction
management firm with locations in San Diego and Los Angeles,
decided to implement Microsoft SharePoint as their portal
platform solution. Gafcon went looking for a
SharePoint-compatible visualization component that could support
the high-fidelity CAD and other non-Microsoft formats they use
every day. “SharePoint as a portal platform is very flexible,
but by nature requires other applications supporting specific
processes to give it additional value,” said Paul West,
SharePoint System Architect at Gafcon. “Brava! Enterprise
provides an excellent, high-value component for visualization
and markup, and helps us further leverage the power of
SharePoint within our organization and for our customers.”
Brava! Enterprise for the .NET platform is
the latest in a series of IGC development projects that focus on
specific Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint and Rights
Management Services (RMS). The company plans to release a Web
Part interface for SharePoint (Q4 ‘05) that will take advantage
of SharePoint’s rich portal framework for creating customized
content presentation.
“An important part of our overall corporate
strategy is seamless integration and adding value to Microsoft
enterprise infrastructure—it’s a high priority for us,” said
Gary Heath CEO and President at IGC. ”Our experience with
providing scalable, multi-format content visualization makes us
a perfect fit for organizations that are considering SharePoint
for enterprise or departmental deployments,” he added.
