Question: Where can I find the most recent patches for my Brava for Livelink install?
One of the most important things to do is to make sure your Brava For Livelink integration has the most current patches applied. The patches are specific to the version of Brava for Livelink you are using. You can check the Brava version by going to your OT_HOME\Modules\Bravaxxx directory where xxx will be the version number. Depending on your specific version, the most current patches can be found here:

Question: Where can I find the most recent patches for my Brava for Livelink install?
There are a few “best practices” we can recommend. First is to assure that the Brava Enterprise Job Processor component is installed on its own machine and not on the Livelink Admin server. Second, when the Brava Enterprise Job Processor is installed, make sure it is not being installed through a Remote Desktop connection. Finally, with regards to the Brava Enterprise Job Processor install process, is to assure the logon account that will eventually be used to run the Brava Enterprise Job Processor service is the same account that is used to install the Brava Enterprise Job Processor on the operating system.

Question: Why am I not able to view any office formats but PDF’s, TIFF’s and other non-office formats do load in Brava successfully??
There could be a few reasons for this. First, make sure the suggestions around the Brava Enterprise Job Processor “best practices” were followed. Second, make sure the native application is installed on the Brava Enterprise Job Processor server, and finally, make sure each Office application has been ran on the server so that any “Office Setup” modal dialogs have been addressed. So, on the server, launch Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel and make sure they applications can launch successfully. Once this has been done, close them down.

Question: How can I speed up the load time required to bring up files in the Brava Viewer?
We have provided a way in which Admins can choose to prepublish specific MIME types against legacy data, or any new data uploaded into the repository. Please review the Brava Admin Page called “Configure Brava MIME types.” Within this Admin page, Admins will find the ability to add MIME types they would like to be prepublished. Once this has been set, the Brava Publish Agent will assure that any legacy data is rendered, as well as any new data that uploaded into the repository, is rendered to our format automatically. This will speed up the time required to load a file in Brava! on a client system.

Question: Brava! is not working. I am getting an error, “Communication Error.”
This is most likely due to an incorrect URL location defined in the Configure Brava! Servers section of our Brava Admin pages. If the Brava Server is installed on a different server than the Livelink Server, then the first section, “Primary Brava! Server” needs to have the second radio button checked with a valid URL pointing to the server housing the Brava Server component.

Question: How can I apply Banners and Watermarks on specific folders?
In the Properties section of the folder, you will see a section called, “Banners/Watermarks.” It is by clicking on the “Edit” button that will allow you to set the Banners and Watermarks for that specific folder. If you wanted these settings to be inherited to the sub directories of that folder, just click the “Inherit” check box.
