Informative Graphics Corporation Previews New Brava! and Redact-It for Microsoft SharePoint 2010
New Integrations Embed IGC’s Viewing, Collaboration, Redaction, and Publishing into SharePoint for Enhanced Document Viewing and Interaction
SPTECHCON SHOW, Boston—October 20, 2010—Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in viewing, collaboration and redaction technology is previewing its Brava Enterprise 7 and Redact-It Enterprise 7 software for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 at SPTechCon 2010 (Booth 901) in Boston through Oct. 22.
Brava for SharePoint allows users to easily interact with documents anywhere, anytime using only their web browser. Brava adds key document-centric workflow actions including the ability to add stamps, create threaded discussions and other markups, publish documents to TIFF or PDF, and redact sensitive content and privacy information.
With Brava’s functionality, SharePoint customers can:
- View virtually any file format within SharePoint
- Search more effectively using Brava’s zero-client viewer to provide thumbnails and full document previews right in the search results page
- Highlight search terms in the documents, jump from hit to hit, and perform more advanced searching within the document without leaving the search results page
- Embed a document viewer into their own pages with standard web parts
Redact-It Enterprise for SharePoint offers automated redaction of documents in SharePoint libraries. Redact-It will create redacted TIFF or PDF versions of the original document and completely remove all content selected for redaction. The redacted document can be saved back into SharePoint or the file system.
Highlights of Redact-It for SharePoint include:
- Redaction is now part of SharePoint workflows
- Search individual documents or entire document libraries for sensitive or privacy information automatically
- Create a “clone” of a document library that allows content authors/contributors access to native files, while content consumers have access to the “clone” libraries in PDF or secure CSF format
- Redact-It uses intelligent pattern matching to find privacy data and remove it
- Redacted documents or libraries can be published to PDF, TIFF or secure CSF (IGC’s Content Sealed Format) for secure sharing with others
Andy Lowe, IGC’s SharePoint-focused Product Manager, says, “We are very excited about our new integration with SharePoint 2010. The SharePoint architecture allowed us to do some interesting things, like embedding our viewer right in the search results page. We are able to really impact the Information Worker’s ability to access needed content, do their piece of the workflow, and move on – fast!”
