Brava!® for IBM FileNet P8
Brava is an easy, proven solution that helps you manage and share electronic content across your entire enterprise. Brava extends the capabilities of the IBM FileNet P8 platform to include multi-format viewing, annotation, redaction and publishing in one easy interface. Brava is server-based, so there is no need to install or maintain software on every desktop. It supports FileNet Content Manager and FileNet Records Manager, as well as Case Manager, Datacap, and IBM widgets.
With Brava Enterprise, users can view virtually any format, including office documents, PDF, image formats (like TIFF and JPG) and even CAD drawings. Users can add comments/annotations and stamps to any document, so it is perfect for review and approval cycles. The annotations are saved in an overlaid XML-based format, leaving the source file unaltered.
Brava's redaction tool removes sensitive content and privacy information. Users can redact by word/phrase, phrase list or zone and add exemption codes citing the reason for redaction. Brava creates a new rendition in PDF, TIFF or secure Content Sealed Format (CSF) format and never alters the source file. Easily publish files to TIFF, PDF or our Content Sealed Format (CSF) with Visual Rights®. Proprietary and secure, CSF offers persistent document-level security such as password protection; the ability to restrict print, copy, layer views and more; add watermarks and banners; and an expiration date.
Brava Enterprise 7.0 for IBM FileNet P8
The latest release of Brava for IBM FileNet P8 adds support for the Mozilla Firefox web browser and includes the new, zero-footprint Brava Flash Viewer client. The Brava Flash Viewer offers users access to documents using any web browser or Flash-enabled device (requires Flash 10) and does not require any files to be transferred or installed on the client.
Other enhancements in Brava for IBM FileNet P8 include:
- User machines automatically install the appropriate localized Brava viewer for German, French, Spanish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese operating systems.
- The integration component for Workplace and WorkplaceXT is certified on Linux RedHat 5.4.
- A user can search for a term, launch the document from the search results and Brava will automatically highlight all instances of the search term in the document.
- New licensing capability allows more granular pricing options.
- Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere and Apache Tomcat Application servers are now supported.
