No pre-publishing

your files to PDF. Brava automatically renders native files

And, while the Adobe Reader is free, publishing PDFs isn’t
- costing hundreds of dollars per seat. Add that Acrobat presents
the user with a lot of complexity that is rarely used except
by pre-press professionals, and you can see why Brava is a

Output to PDF, TIFF, JPG or CSF
Brava can publish to PDF, TIFF, JPEG and our
secure CSF format when your procedures require it, so you don’t
need Acrobat to create a PDF. Annotations made in Brava are
even conveyed to PDFs as separate Adobe-compatible objects,
and redactions made in Brava are burned in to the PDF permanently
(see below).
Simple and true redaction (not just a black box drawn over
the content)
An advanced annotation feature, Brava’s easy-to-use
redaction tools let you block out and remove sensitive content
from view, search, print and copying. Choose to redact an area
or specific terms or parameters and Brava will completely remove
it, as well as convey all redactions when published to PDF,
TIFF or CSF.
Brava searches document renditions
Brava does more than render a screen image
consisting of “dumb” pixels. Brava allows you to search all
the text in a document, just like the native software, and
will perform term-hit highlighting to make the word or phrases
easy to see.
